On 28/08/2022, the representative from the Climate Fund Managers (CFM), Mr. Tarun Brahma, Global Investment Director, and the representative from CA Water signed a Memorandum of Understanding to invest in clean water projects in Vietnam. The signing ceremony took place at Green Economy Forum & Exhibition 2022, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with EuroCham, from November 28th to 30th in Ho Chi Minh City. CFM and CA Water will invest in developing clean water projects with a capacity of at least 200,000 m³/day within the next two years.
The partnership between CA Water and CFM through the CI2 fund marks the beginning of a significant collaboration, concluding 2024 with a disbursement of $27 million to invest in two water treatment plants in Phu Binh District, Thai Nguyen Province, and Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City, addressing the clean water needs of 150,000 residents. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving public health, promoting environmental sustainability, and fostering economic growth. Additionally, through these projects, we will create numerous jobs during both the construction and operational phases, contributing to long-term community development.
